- ZEISS NYLON SUN-LENSES with Z LOGO and GOLD ET AR COATED – we choose to use ZEISS lenses because Carl ZEISS is the world leader in photographic, telescopic and optical lenses.
- JAPANESE TITAINIUM- AM Eyewear uses high-grade Japanese titanium because it’s highly resistant to corrosion, it’s lightweight and it’s very strong.
- CURED ITALIAN or JAPANESE ACETATE – AM Eyewear chooses to cure our Italian and Japanese acetate for an extended period of time in specially designed ovens. This ensures the acetate is in a more stable state when it’s used for production so it’s less likely to warp or twist.
- VISOTTICA COMOTEC HINGES – AM Eyewear uses superior quality of COMOTEC hinges because they are the global leaders in innovation and precision for micro mechanics.
- CUSTOM TITIANIUM NOSE PADS WITH Ion PLATING – AM Eyewear frames have their nose pads specially made using high-grade titanium that has been treated with Ion platting. Unlike many other coatings, Ion plating is hypoallergenic. This is vital considering nose pads are in constant contact with the skin.
- AERONAUTICAL ALUMINIUM – AM Eyewear uses 6061 Aeronautical grade Aluminum because it’s highly resistant to corrosion, lightweight and the surface can be tempered in a distinct finish.
- INDIAN BUFFALO HORN – AM Eyewear frames utilize sustainably harvested Indian buffalo horn as it is a connection to the optical technics of our forefathers.
- EMBEDED LOGOS – AM Eyewear frames have secured logos. We do this by using laser engraving, deeply embedding the logo before applying a layer of epoxy over the top. This leaves our logos smooth to the touch, with a luxurious gold appearance and ensures they do not come free.
- THE BLACK SCREWS – All AM Eyewear frames use black, individually laser cut high-grade Stainless steel SS304 screws (normally used for high-end Swiss watches). We do this because they are stronger and do not bur like conventional mold injected optical screws.
